New Exhibition at the Umstead Gallery
So happy to announce my new exhibition in Cary, North Carolina, at the Umstead Gallery.
The Umstead is a five star hotel and spa which houses an amazing permanent collection of art by national and internationally recognized artists. I am honored to have been invited to show my work in its Gallery for a little over four months, from March 17 through August 1, 2011.
I’ve installed eighteen large framed pieces from my Louisiana Marsh, Acadian Wetlands and Bald Head Island portfolios. The opening event will be an Art & Nature Lecture on Wednesday, April 20, featuring Bill Chameides, Dean of Duke’s Nicholas School of the Environment. Bill and I will discuss how fine art can animate contemporary environmental issues, particularly the current situation on the Louisiana Gulf coast. More info on that soon.
